Assembly Technician Apprentice
Summary/Objective
DD DANNAR, LLC, is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of a mobile, off-road energy platform that is the first in a new class of hybrid-electric work vehicles. We are looking for Assembly Technician Apprentices who will be responsible for learning the assembling of the MPS, ensuring all parts fit and work together.

Reports to:
Team Lead Assembly
Essential Functions:

Learn how to determine and select the correct hardware.

Learn how to read and interpret engineering documentation and work instructions.

Receive instructions on how to select appropriate tools as needed for each job.

Observe and assist in the construction of the unit.

Perform checks and complete documentation that is reviewed by the supervisor.

Complete study materials as assigned.

Attend Ivy Tech courses and complete all assigned work obtaining a C or better for each class.

Complete and pass with an 80% or better the Assembly Tech I exam from DANNAR.

All other duties as assigned.

- Understanding of Lean Six Sigma (complete Yellow Belt Training)
- Use of hand tools
- Ability to read and understand drawings from Engineering Department

- Proven ability to meet deadlines successfully
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not oversee anyone.
Work Environment:
- Working on the assembly floor
- Possible exposure to electricity
- Possible exposure to fluids used on/in the unit
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40lbs. individually and 75lbs with another individual
- Must be able to climb onto the unit.
- Must be able to stand for long periods (hours).
- Must be able to bend and go under the unit.
- Reach into tight spaces to manipulate small and hard-to-reach hardware

Required education and experience:

HS diploma or equivalent

Completion of Ivy Tech Certification (during apprenticeship after hire)

Experience using hand tools

Must have the ability to make decisions on needed parts and adjustments

Must be able to work on a team and be productive

Willingness to learn new technologies

Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification (can be completed upon hire)
Preferred education and experience:

Mechanical knowledge

Basic electrical knowledge

Experience with electric vehicles

Experience in manufacturing

Microsoft Office Skills

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
Authorized to work in United States.
