Senior Buyer

Summary/Objective

DD DANNAR, LLC, is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of a mobile, off-road energy platform that is the first in a new class of hybrid-electric work vehicles. We are looking for Senior Buyer to support manufacturing to purchase components, monitor inventories and usage patterns to cover stock shortages and avoid E&O inventory.

Essential Functions:

• Review MRP or other sources of information to determine what components need to be ordered.  25% 
• Issue system Purchase Orders based on demand and communicate orders along with forecasted demand to assigned supply base.  Manage all other procurement activity associated with supply base including but not limited to programs like VMI, Stocking, Kanban, Returns, Product Development, etc.    30% 

• Monitor inventory turns and stock usage to reduce amount of E&O items. 5% 

• Cost reduction and lead time compression initiatives. 10%

• Monitor supplier performance to identify weak performance and help develop suppliers to improve.  Work to capitalize on supplier strengths.  10% 

• Identify new suppliers and/or work with Engineering to identify potential suppliers.  Vet potential suppliers to meet acceptable standards for supplying to DANNAR and develop implementation program for each specific new supplier.  15% 
• System maintenance. 5%

  Travel required:

  • Less than 5%

Required education and experience: 

• • Bachelor’s degree in business, or related field 

  • 5+ years experience in purchasing 

  • Strong negotiating experience 

  • Six Sigma Training – Yellow belt minimum 

Preferred education and experience:

• • CPSM or CSCP certification  

  • Forward Sourcing experience 

  • Dynamics 365 experience 

Work authorization/security clearance requirements:

 Authorized to work in the United States.
