Software Engineer 

Summary/Objective

DD DANNAR, LLC, is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of a mobile, off-road energy platform that is the first in a new class of hybrid-electric work vehicles. We are looking for a Software Engineer to be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining computer software for the Mobile Power Station (MPS). Using creativity and technical skills they apply the principles of software engineering to help solve new and ongoing problems on the MPS.

Essential Functions:

• Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC) 

• Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions 

• Write well-designed, testable code 

• Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility 

• Integrate software components into a fully functional software system 

• Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures 

• Document and maintain software functionality 

• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems 

• Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback 

• Comply with project plans and industry standards 

• Ensure software is updated with latest features

• Strong understanding of electrical dynamics, battery behavior, and vehicle cross-functional feature implementation implications. 

• Understanding of electric vehicle propulsion systems. 

• Familiar with functional safety/ ISO 26262 / STPA, CAN, PLM, ALM, JAMA or equivalent work products and methods. 

• Experience with automotive, off-highway or heavy duty equipment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Required education and experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Software Engineering 
• Experience in software design. 
• Experience in MATLAB/Simulink-based controls development, code generation, debugging, and model testing. 
• Six Sigma Training – Yellow belt minimum 

Preferred education and experience: 

• Master’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Software Engineering or equivalent. 

• Knowledge and basic understanding of C/C++. 

• Experience with Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS)  

• Familiar with High Voltage Systems 

Work authorization/security clearance requirements:

 Authorized to work in the United States.
